God
God is invisible, eternal, and Spirit (John 1:18; 1 Timothy 1:17; John 4:24). He is greater than the human mind can fully understand (Luke 10:22; Matthew 11:27), and He is present everywhere (Psalm 139:7–12).
There is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4). He is the Father of creation because He made and sustains all things (Isaiah 63:16; Isaiah 9:6; Psalm 89:26). He is also a loving Father to humanity, caring for His people with compassion and mercy (Psalm 103:13; Matthew 9:6).
The Word is God revealing Himself (John 1:1–3). Through the Word, the invisible God makes His nature, character, and purpose known to humanity (Hebrews 1:1–3; Isaiah 9:6).
The Word comes from God and expresses who He is. God’s plan and self-revelation have existed from everlasting (Micah 5:2; Revelation 1:8).
The Holy Spirit is God living and working within the believer (Jeremiah 31:31–33; Romans 8:9). There is one Spirit, and that Spirit is called the Spirit of God, the Spirit of grace, and the Spirit of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13; Hebrews 10:29; Romans 8:9; John 14:17–18).
Through the Holy Spirit, God gives grace, strength, guidance, and new life to His Church (Acts 2:38; 1 Corinthians 12:1). The presence of God’s Spirit is essential to salvation and to living as a follower of Christ (Acts 2:36–38; Acts 11:14; Romans 8:9).
In Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily... Colossians 2:9
JESUS
Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh, God revealed in humanity, and the visible image of the invisible God (John 1:1, 14; Micah 5:2; 1 Timothy 3:16; Colossians 1:15). In Him, all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily (Colossians 2:9).
Through Jesus, God became visible, knowable, approachable, and touchable (Hebrews 1:1–3; John 14:8; Matthew 11:28–30; 1 John 1:1–3; John 20:27). Jesus revealed the Father, is the only way to the Father, and is the Father made known to humanity (John 14:6–9; John 17:6; John 10:30; Isaiah 9:6). He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the Almighty who was, is, and is to come (Revelation 1:8).
Jesus was also fully human (Hebrews 2:10–18). He was born of Mary, is called the second man and the last Adam, and is the Son of God by birth and declaration (Matthew 2:1; Galatians 4:4; 1 Corinthians 15:45, 47; Luke 1:35; Romans 1:3–4).
Through His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus conquered death, hell, and the grave (1 Corinthians 15:1–4). His name is above every name, and all divine power and authority are found in Him (Philippians 2:9–10; Acts 4:12).
THE NAME OF JESUS
God’s authority is invested in the name of Jesus (Philippians 2:9–10; Matthew 7:22; John 14:14; Acts 4:12). Everything believers do, in word or deed, should be done in His name (Colossians 3:17).
Through new birth, believers receive a new identity in Christ, leaving behind the old identity inherited through Adam (Romans 6:4; 2 Corinthians 5:17; 1 Corinthians 15:45–50).
THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ will return to gather His Church to Himself (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17). He will later return in power and glory to establish His kingdom on the earth (Matthew 24:29–31; Revelation 19:11–16).

SALVATION
Salvation is available only through the saving power of the blood Jesus Christ shed for us. It is a gift from God, received by grace through faith (Hebrews 9:12, 26; Ephesians 2:8).
True faith leads to obedience. When we accept the gospel, we respond through the “obedience of faith” and identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Romans 1:5; Romans 16:26; Acts 6:7).
Christ died: We die to our old life through repentance (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Christ was buried: We are buried with Him through water baptism (Romans 6:4).
Christ rose again: We are raised to new life through the infilling of the Holy Spirit (Romans 6:4; Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 15:45).
Peter summarized this response to the gospel on the day the Church was born: repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).

THE BIBLE
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is completely trustworthy and is our final authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living (2 Timothy 3:16; Ephesians 3:5; 2 Peter 3:2).
The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ suffered the penalty of sin once for all. Through His sacrifice, salvation is available to everyone who receives and responds to the gospel by faith (Romans 1:16–17; Acts 2:37).
